Earlier this year we announced that the Liberty Insurance Squad Goals competition is back and better than ever.
As part of the competition, we asked camogie clubs all around the country to show off their skills and send us in a quick video demonstrating some of their best footwork and fancy hurling tricks and boy did they deliver.
We received videos from lots of different clubs all around the country and we have to say that we are now feeling very untalented indeed.
We whittled the entries down to the top ten clubs for you to choose from below. Here are our top picks.

St. Rynaghs
St Rynaghs Camogie Club is a successful club who have won titles at all levels underage. This year we hope to complete the full circle by adding a senior medal to their growing collection of awards. Many of the girls represent their county at both underage and senior level and have won several medals for Offaly.
Thomastown
Thomastown Camogie Club has been in existence since 1967. It is a vibrant and successful club and its ethos is enjoyment, fairness and a sense of family. This is only achievable through the fantastic support of the club players, trainers mentors and the executive committee that work tirelessly to support all players and members.
We have teams from u8 to u18 and won our first Senior County Championship in 2014 and again in 2016. History was then made when we won our first Leinster Senior Club Final with a very late goal win over St Vincent’s Dublin. Thomastown Camogie Club is honoured to enter this competition and would love a chance to be in the final.
Shamrocks Galway
Our club, Shamrocks Camogie Club was founded in 1993 and is a combination of Loughrea, Kilnadeema and Leitrim in east Galway and as the name suggests we are represented by three green shamrocks on our crest.
In our club, we have numerous talented and dedicated girls and women who have accomplished so much over the years. We want to express our gratitude and give back to the amazing people who get involved with our club and who always maintain the easy running of the club. They thrive to help us develop friendships, skills, pride and love for our game and country and help us to pass this on from generation to generation. To do this we decided to enter Squad Goals 2017 and show off the skills that they have taught us.
Gailltír
Gailltír Camogie Club is based in County Waterford near the beautiful coastal village of Dunmore East. Our video takes you on a journey of Camogie skills and thrills completed in some of the most wonderful landmarks in the Barony of Gaultier.
Gailltír Camogie Club is engrained in the history of the Barony since its foundation in 1958 under the guidance of Mr Tony Cummins. Through his dedication and that of many others, the club has seen significant growth and success and now plays a pivotal role in the community for female camogie enthusiasts ranging from u6 to adult grades. Please vote for our girls.
Rathcoffey
Rathcoffey Camogie Club was originally founded in 1966. We are a small club with just over 70 players, of which 50 are less than 14 years old. Last year, the u13 team was joined by 2 players from the Cappagh club. This year another player from Cappagh joined our squad and we were also joined by a number of players from Maynooth.
The amalgamated u14 Rathcoffey/Cappagh/Maynooth team played in Division 1 in Kildare and the players themselves came up with the team name ‘MRC’. The video was shot in Rathcoffey after the team got off the bus having returned from representing Kildare over the weekend of 16 to 18 June at the National Camogie Féile competition in Wexford, Carlow and Kilkenny.
Straffan
Straffan Camogie Club, a place to play, learn and belong. We provide a positive influence on our children and teenagers, we boost their confidence, teach them respect and a belief in themselves both as individuals and as part of a team. We are preparing them for the long term.
Straffan Camogie Club is an up and coming vibrant club in Kildare, which is strengthened by an active and energetic community. Winning €8,000 would enable us to continue our development work and to reach our goal of having teams competing in Kildare at the highest levels.
An Rinn
We are a small camogie club located in Gaeltacht na nDéise and we have several underage teams and an intermediate team. We are a club built on spirit, hard work and Gaeilge. Our trainers, coaches and parents do immense work to keep the club going and ensuring every member of the team enjoys themselves.
We fundraise during the year to try and raise funds for training equipment and expenses. Our intermediate team have not got a new set of jerseys since 2009 and our training equipment is very limited for the amount of work we need to do to improve our team. With the money all our teams could improve by getting more training equipment, being able to get access to alleys and astro pitches and hopefully a new set of jerseys for our intermediate team! Ballygarvan
Ballygarvan Camogie Club is a small club in Cork that was formed in 1988 with members that are Camogie mad! As a club, we have come on leaps and bounds from starting at a C grade to now all teams from u14 up playing at the top level in the county. Over the years we have won many titles such as Cork A Féile, Cork u16A, Minor B County Final and Senior B League and County Final in the same year.
This is a club with a great spirit and attitude that we are proud to be a part of, we would appreciate if you could take the LIBERTY of voting for us and help us give back to our camogie club.
Clonkill
We are a relatively new club and have young girls who live and breathe the sport. We are skilful and haven’t been given enough credit, plus we’re also great craic!
Based just outside Mullingar, we re-established in 2004 catering for all age groups from u6 to current junior level. We won the All Ireland Féile Division 3 final in 2014 which was also our inaugural trip to Féile. We also took part in 2015 and 2017. Clonkill has players representing the county at many levels. Some of whom were involved in winning the u16 All Ireland Final in 2015 and 2016. We won our first Junior Championship in 2010. Camogie is our passion and it’s and integral part of our community.
Kilkormac
Kilcormac Killoughey Camogie Club is a small club in the middle of Offaly with 160 members. We field teams from Under-8 to senior level and has enjoyed much success over the years winning titles at all levels across all grades.
We are a club of huge pride and work tirelessly to provide a happy playing environment for the girls within our parish.
Winning the Liberty Insurance Squad Goals competition would be a huge benefit to our club and would provide us with much-needed funds to continue developing Camogie in Offaly.

The four clubs with the most votes will make it to the semi-final where they will battle it out at a live skills challenge on 21st July which will all be filmed as part of Liberty Insurance’s brand new TV ad.
There’s a lot at stake with a massive €8,000 up for grabs so make sure you vote for your favourite team and encourage your friends to do the same.
