Two senior club hurling games and one football championship final on TV this weekend

Lee Costello

Two ‘wee ball’ games and one ‘big ball’ game.

The kingpins of Tipperary are back this weekend as Loughmore-Castleiney play Drom and Inch in the Tip senior hurling quarter finals.

Last year the club made history, going on an incredible run in both the hurling and the football, showing the rest of the country what a dual club really looks like.

They grace our TVs again for the first time this season on Saturday evening at 4pm on RTÉ2, but will they have the legs to bring last year’s momentum into the 2022 campaign.

Inagh Kilnamona vs Éire Óg Ennis is on TG4 this Sunday at 2.30pm in the Clare senior hurling quarter final and just in case you need a little more gaa it’s followed by a championship final on the same channel.

Rhode take on Tullamore in the Offaly senior football championship final at 4:15pm.

For Rhode, it will be their 11th consecutive county final, and for Tullamore, their third. Tullamore defeated Rhode last year after a replay. Rhode had won in 2020.
