Dublin and Armagh have escaped any player suspensions for an incident that took place before their challenge game last month and resulted in a broken nose for Davey Byrne.
Byrne missed the Leinster final after being injured following an off-the-ball fracas that occurred before throw-in and, after Dublin manager Jim Gavin told Off The Ball that there was a DVD of the game, the GAA launched an investigation into the incident.
However, the Central Competitions Control Committee took the decision to fine both counties for whatever they’ve seen or heard, but no suspensions have been dealt to any players.
A proposed fine of 5,000 euro has been issued to both Armagh and Dublin county boards who have until Monday to appeal the decision.
