Derry Senior Football Championship Final.

Ulster champions Slaughtneil retained their county title with a 1-7 to 0-9 win over Eoghan Rua Coleraine to move into the provincial series.

It was a double success for the club, coming just weeks after they also won the Derry senior club title.

The game’s crucial score came via the fist of Sé McGuigan as he punched to the net in the 41st minute to open up a gap the challengers could never quite close.

Louth Senior Football Championship Final

For the fourth time in just five years St Patrick’s are the county champions after a 1-14 to 0-9 win over Sean O’Mahonys.

Experience proved key for the winners as they led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the break, but Aidan McCann’s goal was the clincher to push his side well ahead and secure yet another senior crown.

This comeback win for Killoe Emmet Óg is likely to live long in the memory after the 2014 champions made it back-to-back titles with a 1-14 to 1-11 win over Abbeylara.

However Abbeylara goaled through Sean Murphy and had the gap down to just two until late scores for Killoe secured their 11th championship in total.

If you haven’t heard the excited commentary for the final moments of this game then you need to as Mohill scored the latest of late goals to enjoy a 1-4 to 0-6 win over  Glencar-Manorhamilton.

Ronan Kennedy won’t have to worry about getting bar service for a while we suspect as his goal in additional time proved the game breaker and secure Mohill’s first county title since 2006

Cork Senior Football Championship

Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven will contest this year’s county final after respective semi-final wins at the weekend.

The other semi final saw Castlehaven prove too strong for O’Donovan Rossa in a 1-13 to 1-10 win.

The winners led by 1-16 to 0-1 after just 10 minutes but the challengers forced their way into the game to trail by just 1-8 to 0-6 at the turnaround.
