Seven European GAA jerseys that are simply stunning

From Finland to France

Ben Kiely

Anything America can do, Europe can do… as well.

Sure, Hollywood blockbusters will always make a ton more money than their art house French counterparts.

Sure, breakfast burritos are always going to be a million times nicer than terribly sweet pastries, orange juice in tiny glasses and whatever else hotels have taught us about what they eat first thing in the morning on the continent.

Sure, the land of the free (and the home of the brave) can produce a real darn tootin’ hoedown of a GAA jersey…

…but so can the Europeans.

Obviously, we know the 32 counties have been donning top notch shirts for years. (You can find our take on those bad boys here).

How many of you know about the GAA jerseys of the clubs on mainland Europe? How many of you have seen this beauty from Finnish what outfit Helsinki Harps?

Or this very classy orange, white and blue number from French side Lorient GAC?

The stars are out in force on the wonderfully-named German club Munchen Colmcilles’ shirt.

Heading back to France, and we think this Gwened Vannes’ jersey is like a slightly nicer version of the one worn by Westmeath. (Apologies if anyone from the county took offence, your kit is still… grand).

How about the Barcelona Gaels’ glorious attempt to make the least (We actually mean most!) Barcelona-looking jersey ever?

And finally, we’re going back to France yet again for this stunner from GFC.
