Alex Ferguson has been taken to hospital after falling unwell before the Manchester United v Liverpool match.
Expected initially to attend the iconic rivalry at Old Trafford, the United and football legend has been taken as a precaution, as per Mail Online.
Ferguson, 84, was taken an hour before the match kicked off.
The Scot previously had a health scare after suffering a brain haemorrhage in 2018, which he recovered from after undergoing successful surgery. It is understood that this latest incident is not related.
Speaking about the scare in the 2021 film 'Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In', he said: "There were five brain haemorrhages that day. Three died. Two survived. You know you are lucky."
United started the major clash against Liverpool on fire, scoring after only six minutes courtesy of Matheus Cunha.
Michael Carrick's Red Devils then doubled their advantage after only 14 minutes too, courtesy of Benjamin Sesko bundling home following a Freddie Woodman attempted save.
