Gavin Bazunu is attracting Premier League interest.

Everton are reportedly interested in bringing Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu to Goodison Park this summer transfer window.

The former Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper has returned to Manchester City following a successful loan spell at Portsmouth.

Reports claimed Everton watched Bazunu on multiple occasions last season as they explore options for their goalkeeping department.

The Toffees are said to be willing to listen to offers for England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, regardless of relegation, to fund Frank Lampard’s rebuild in the Summer.

Bazunu kept 16 clean sheets in 44 appearances in League One last season as Bazunu claimed Pompey’s club player-of-the-year award.

The 20-year-old will either go out on loan at a higher level next season or leave the Etihad for another Premier League or European club on a permanent basis.

It’s suggested that Man City would explore the option of including a buy-back clause if Bazunu was to depart the club this summer.

Bazunu has many potential suitors.

Bazunu is keen to play first-team football next season. Any offer will need to include that option if the Dubliner is to depart Man City.

Southampton, Bournemouth, and Sheffield United have already been linked with the talented shot-stopper.

The Saints interest in Bazunu is said to be the most genuine as the future of their first-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster is uncertain.

Bazunu enjoyed loan spells in League One with Rochdale and Portsmouth since his 2018 move from Shamrock Rovers.

He signed a new four-year deal with Man City in 2020 and has spoken about being their number one, however, Ederson is tied down until 2026 and is only 28-years-old.
