David Meyler has an issue with Marcus Rashford’s pace rating on Fifa 17 compared to his own

Understandably so

David Meyler just can’t get enough football in his life.

The Hull City and Republic of Ireland midfielder is seemingly spending every waking hour thinking about the beautiful game, with his Fifa-dedicated YouTube channel now being enjoyed by almost 75,000 subscribers.

Meyler’s videos typically involve him streaming his games against online opponents, as well as discussions about his statistics and the ratings of his teammates.

He’s not too shabby either, with his record during his most recent video standing at 730-72-295 which is impressive when you consider the standard of competition he usually faces.

And Meyler, like most of us, takes Fifa 17 very seriously indeed and has revealed his disappointment at his current rating.

Speaking about his attributes, the Irish international raised a valid point by expressing his frustration at the fact that Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford was considered so much faster than the Corkman.

“As you can see, my pace is 55. I’m not very impressed with that,” Meyler said.

“I’ve had a lot of arguments over this pace. Especially if anyone watched me play against Manchester United, I don’t think Rashford is 37+ pace quicker than me.

“I also hold the record for the second highest speed hit on the pitch this season as a Hull player so I think EA need to bolster up my pace.”

You may remember, during Hull’s ongoing renaissance under new manager Marco Silva, that the Tigers frustrated United to a 0-0 stalemate at Old Trafford last week and Meyler was one of the stars of the show.

It was his superiority over United’s record signing Paul Pogba that was singled out for praise by Hull supporters but his ability to keep up with Rashford on the flanks has left him eager to see his Fifa ratings boosted.
