After a week in No Man’s Land, the Premier League is officially back this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited.
First up, let’s take a quick refresher.
Heading into week eight of the Premier League, Arteta’s Arsenal top the table on 16 points.
After back-to-back heartbreaks against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, Liverpool sit just behind in second on 15.
Tottenham are in third with 14 points, level on points with Bournemouth in fourth.
And, as ever, Manchester City are right there just one point below in fifth.
It’s still all to play for as we head into the autumn stretch. The early table has already thrown up surprises, and there’ll certainly be more along the way.
On this week’s House of Football we’re asking one big question: who are the top five strikers in the league right now?
First up with his picks is our very own Gerard Brand.
In fifth, he’s gone for Mateta. Fourth, Ekiteke. Third, Isak. Second, Salah. But topping Gerard’s list unsurprisingly is Erling Haaland, who, as Gerard puts it, “is back to his best.”
On the other side of the debate, football connoisseur Enda Coll has his own top five. In fifth, Gyökeres. Fourth, Šeško. Third, Ekitike. Second, Isak. And in first, matching Gerard’s call it’s The Terminator himself, Erling Haaland.
Two lists, two minds, and plenty of debate. The international break might have paused the action, but now we’re finally back.
