A third Six Nations defeat - a second at home - hammered home the job on Adam Griggs' hands as the French hit the Irish for seven tries en route to a 47-17 victory in Donnybrook.
Claire Molloy and Ciara Griffin were two faintly bright sparks for the women in green and former captain Fiona Coghlan echoed that assessment but explained that it was more out of necessity because the hosts are lacking creativity in the back line.
