Video: The Cleveland Cavaliers find domestic violence hilarious in this brainless promotional video

What on earth were they thinking?

Someone in power actually watched this and thought, “Yep, that’s perfect!”

Considering the scandals of the last 12 months, jokes about domestic violence are the last thing American sports teams should be trying, but the Cleveland Cavaliers are either oblivious to this, or being deliberately provocative.

This video aired last night during their 106-91 playoff win against the Chicago Bulls, and it’s gone down like a turd in a swimming pool.

The “punchline” in the skit sees the girlfriend/wife of a Cavs fan get thrown to the ground when he discovers that she’s actually a Bulls supporter, before she’s eventually seen wearing a Cleveland shirt and holding an ice-pack to her head.

It looks like someone is getting their p45. Or at least whatever the equivalent of a p45 is in the states.
