Notre Dame Fighting Irish - the College American Football team who wore Father Ted helmets once - may have designed the craftiest play we've seen in a long, long time when they brilliantly scored a touchdown after setting up for a field goal.
What's most impressive is that this happened at fourth down, the Fighting Irish risking losing everything - but that's where the greatest rewards come from.
In their very first drive against Virginia Cavaliers, the Notre Dame outfit put together a class routine that looked like they were kicking for three points. Then the runs happened. Then a fake overhead pass to the kicker happened before tight-end Durham Smythe took possession and brought the ball the whole way to the end zone unprecedentedly.
