Why is this not done more often?

When you see something as clever as this, it all becomes so clear and simple. Except this couldn't have been that easy to put together. Notre Dame Fighting Irish - the College American Football team who wore Father Ted helmets once - may have designed the craftiest play we've seen in a long, long time when they brilliantly scored a touchdown after setting up for a field goal. What's most impressive is that this happened at fourth down, the Fighting Irish risking losing everything - but that's where the greatest rewards come from. In their very first drive against Virginia Cavaliers, the Notre Dame outfit put together a class routine that looked like they were kicking for three points. Then the runs happened.
