Video: Baseball fan uses his box of popcorn as a glove to catch foul ball

This is fantastic, except if you’re the poor soul who got absolutely showered in salty, buttery popcorn.

The MLB season is up and running in the last few days, and there really aren’t many other sports where the best pieces of action are seen in the stands.

If you’ve ever been to a game, you’ll most certainly have seen that mid-life crisis guy pushing kids out of the way to try and catch a home-run or foul ball, oblivious to the eight-year-old hearts he’s breaking.

While this Seattle Mariners fan may have been taking a catch away from a little kid, at least he did it in style.

Stretching across several seats to snag the foul ball, the fan decided to use his pretty full bucket of popcorn as a makeshift catcher’s mitt, and sent the most glorious slow-motion popcorn spray around his vicinity in the process.

As is tradition in America, he then hugged and high-fived many strangers.
