Baltimore Ravens rookie late for meeting because he was building a snowman

Timmy Jernigan got a little excited at seeing his first ever snowfall

As excuses go, this one is pretty special.

A good snowfall brings out the little kid in all of us, and that includes 300lb American footballers.

Baltimore Ravens rookie Timmy Jernigan woke up on Wednesday morning, and saw snow for the first time in his life.

The defensive lineman spent his whole life in the Florida sun, so naturally he got a bit giddy when the first snowfall of the winter hit the city.

Clearly fulfilling a lifetime ambition of his, Jernigan set about making his first ever snowman after practice, but the excitement of the day was a bit too much for him, as he ended up running late for a team meeting.

Thinking the squad meeting was at 4pm instead of 3:30, he was fetched from the practice field at 3:35, ruining his chances of building a new frosty friend.
