Ruddock gets nod ahead of Fardy as Leinster name team for Pro 14 final

Leo Cullen has named his team.

Leinster will host Scarlets in the Pro 14 final in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. The 15 that will take to the field will show four changes from last weekend’s semi-final victory over Munster.

Leo Cullen’s men are 2/9 odds on favourites to emerge victorious over last year’s champions, and in turn become the first team to do the European Cup and Pro 14 double in the same season.

The return of Johnny Sexton, who had been struggling with a calf injury last weekend, Dan Leavy, who had been out with a tight hamstring certainly bolsters their chances.

Cian Healy also returns in place of Jack McGrath, while Rob Kearney gets the nod ahead of Joey Carbery.

The surprising of the day is that Rhys Ruddock retains his spot in the back row. Scott Fardy was expected to get the start but he will instead take his place on the bench.

Isa Nascewa will captain the side on his 184th appearance for the province.
