Oh so close!
Kildare have won the 2025 Tailteann Cup, with a 1-24 to 2-19 win over Limerick at Croke Park.
The Lilywhites led for large parts of the game before a goal from the Treaty’s Killian Ryan put them ahead.
However, Kildare rallied and were able to see the game out, but not before Limerick nearly snatched a draw at the death.
With a great goal-scoring opportunity, Darragh Murray’s shot was block by Brian Byrne and went over the bar instead of its intended target of the net.
