Gravity is just another opponent to overcome for Niall Hughes.

The Wexford senior footballer was playing midfield for his club Ballyfad in an intermediate hurling championship match against Taghmon Camross when he scored this tremendous point. Haring through on goal, Hughes was knocked tot he ground by a dubious tackle. Rather than raise his hands and appeal for a free, he raised his hurl and sent the ball over the bar from 20 yards. While sat on his arse. Ballyfad went on to win the match in St Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy by two points, 1-13 to 2-8. This moment of magic features on the Wexford GAA Facebook page, where you can also watch all three goals from what seemed an entertaining game of hurling.   ezgif.com-resize The Wexford senior hurlers face Dublin in the Leinster SHC next Saturday in Croke Park, where the county's footballers - with Hughes in tow - face Kildare.
