McNulty is just another in a long line of mouthwatering footballers who are as effortless as they are deadly. And, from a dead ball, he's making quite a name for himself. On The GAA Hour podcast, Steven McDonnell has always advocated for free-takers to strike the ball from the ground and, on his website, he went into great detail about this very matter.

"You are striking a ball from a stationary position so you are only depending on a clean run-up and strike on the area of the ball that you focus on with a good follow-through," the Armagh legend writes. "From your hands, as you are preparing to strike the ball you are moving your whole body, legs, waist, shoulders, arms and head in the hope that you make a clean connection.
