The men from the hills saw off the Tribesmen 3-12 to 0-11 to set up a quarter final clash with Mayo and McGuinness clearly thought that was obvious.
He spoke brilliantly yet again during Sky Sports' coverage and gave a great insight into the Donegal style of play but when host, Rachel Wyse, asked the Celtic employee where the victory left Rory Gallagher's side, McGuinness decided to have a bit of craic.
Not just the serious, diligent thinking man.
