We have nothing but love and respect for that rare breed we call the hurling goalkeeper.
Reflexes, ability to withstand freezing temperatures, accuracy of pass and, most of all, complete and utter disregard for their own wellbeing... not everyone has what it takes to be a hurling goalkeeper. To that list we can add Anthony Nash's deputy with the Cork seniors, Patrick Collins.
Playing in the Fitzgibbon Cup for CIT, Collins gave a display of hurling netminding in the second half of his side's final group game on Tuesday night.
His FOUR outstanding stops were responsible for the Cork college earning a draw against NUIG, but this was not enough to keep CIT in the competition as they failed to qualify for the last eight.
Still, Collins can be proud of his own performance
