The race for O'Duffy begins this weekend

Just slightly later than their male counterparts, this weekend sees the opening round games in the race for the ultimate camogie honour in September. The championship has been expanded this season to include last year's intermediate champions Limerick, bringing the number of sides who will be looking to claim the most famous trophy in Irish women's sport, the O'Duffy Cup, to 10. Holders Cork begin against 2013 champions Galway, while Kilkenny, who have lost the last two finals, will start their campaign against Dublin in Parnell Park. The championship was officially launched on today, and to whet the appetite for the months ahead two of the country's top players have described what it's like to run out in Croke Park for the All-Ireland final.
