"I remember thinking 'what in the name of God just happened there?'"
Kerry legend Tomás Ó Sé still can't seem to get his head around the knockout blow delivered to Kerry by Tyrone in the 2003 semi-final that epitomised the fierce rivalry that would develop between the counties over the next six years.
12 years ago this weekend, Kerry were also expected to progress to the final but didn't account for the fact that the Red Hand would come out punching and the Kingdom couldn't claw their way back into the fight.
Ó Sé recalls the energetic Brian Dooher refusing to give Kerry's defenders a moment's rest and former Tyrone back Philip Jordan remembers the element of surprise that was drilled into the Tyrone players ahead of throw-in that fateful afternoon.
Can Mickey Harte fashion something similar on Sunday or will it be Kerry who progress and get the chance to retain the Sam Maguire for the second time in eight years?

Brutal. Mayo boss Andy Moran has hit back at Joe Brolly, after the pundit criticised his selection against Kerry earlier this month. Mayo were hammered 2-29 to 0-19 that day, with Brolly writing in his column that ex-player Moran was too reliant on his ‘old friends’ group’, referencing players such as Aidan O’Shea, Cillian O’Connor, […]
