Earlier this month, we revelled in the heartfelt, witty and inspiring Facebook post of Derry hurler Conor McSorley after his side reached the final of the Christy ring Cup. McSorley clearly has a gift with words so we were not surprised to learn that he has a lyrical side. The hurler has launched a rap career and his first song, posted to is YouTube account on Monday, is a humdinger. It is called The Takeover and is all about Ireland's UFC superstar Conor McGregor. You know what? It's pretty decent. https://youtu.be/4c9h5HOlvBg McSorley explains, 'This is a remix of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's song called Mammoth. I decided to chop and change the music, add some automation, chanting and of course some lyrics which I wrote myself. The lyrics are heavily influenced on how I think Conor McGregor sees the world.'
