As debuts go Ciaran Byrne can be happy enough with his work for Carlton this morning, despite their latest loss to the Essendon Bombers at the MCG.
The former GAA player made his debut for the Blues this morning as a second half substitute.
He was tipped to play earlier this week and his parents even travelled all the way from Ireland to see him take to the field in the 105 to 84 loss for the visitors.
The result may not have gone his way but it seems that the club were quite happy with his efforts,

He's in very good physical shape but standing next to this beast from the Bombers it looks like he has a bit more work to do in the gym
