Video: Cancer survivors prepare for uplifting GAA charity encounter

'It's going to cost you one night out, but it might give you the rest of your life'

Former Meath footballer Alan Nestor and Erin's Isle clubman Fran Carroll are among a host of well-known GAA faces taking part in a charity game next month to raise money and awareness to help fight cancer. The game will feature two teams of players who have fought and beaten the disease, contesting the Prof Hollywood Cup, with former Dublin hurling boss Anthony Daly and Blues legend Charlie Redmond set to manage the sides. St James's and St Luke's Hospitals will be the beneficiaries of the event, but just as important is the goal to ensure earlier detection and treatment for men who may delay seeking medical attention. 'Young fellas don't want to seem like they are weak, but if you feel that there is something wrong with you, you have go and get yourself sorted,' says Carroll, who was treated for testicular cancer.
