The Ulster champions looked to have stumbled to a one point win as the game edged to a close. That was until a last gasp free from Richard Carey ensured the two sides will meet again on Wednesday night.
Elsewhere in Derry, Ballinascreen booked their place in the semi finals after a one point win over Greenlough, whilst Glen had a fantastic breakthrough win over former kingpins Ballinderry, that game ended 1-15 to 0-17.
Loup and Lavey finshed all square at 1-08 to 2-05 and the pair will meet again on Thursday to do battle once more.
There was plethora of action in the province this weekend, but perhaps the most intriguing tie was in Armagh where champions, Armagh Harps took on the once dominant Crossmaglen Rangers.
Cross' haven't won the Gerry Fagan cup in three seasons now and were in fine form as they swept aside the holders with relative ease. Rangers led by five at half time before two second half goals from Kyle Carragher and Johnny McKeever ensured their progression to the semi final on a score line of 2-22 to 1-15.
