Two attractive college football managerial jobs advertised online

An attractive proposition for any Gaelic football manager.

Queens University have been a sleeping giant in the college Gaelic football game for a couple of years now. 8 time winners and once perennial favourites for the top gong in college football, the Belfast outfit are now 12 years without a Sigerson Cup triumph as well as not having made it back into the decider since that 2006/2007 triumph. 2018 followed a familiar path for the students of Antrim, as they were dumped out of the Sigerson in the opening round by a David Clifford inspired Tralee in the Dub. Former All-Star and All-Ireland winner with Armagh Aidan O'Rourke was the team's manager last year, but he has obviously opted to part ways with the college ahead of the 2019 Sigerson season. That's because on Wednesday morning the college's Twitter account invited applications for the jobs as head coach of both their Freshers and Sigerson teams ahead of the coming year. College GAA is taken seriously all over the country and just as it has been a springboard for many players all over the country for their inter-county careers, it would undoubtedly also be a solid starting point for any manager looking to put themselves in the shop window for any county or big club jobs. Let's not forget, only inter-county GAA is of a higher standard than the college competitions. The panel from last year contained a number of inter-county stars, including Derry duo Emmet Bradley and Niall Keenan as well as Louth's star attacker Ryan Burns.
