Meath's Twitter warriors were out in force last night and goalkeeper Paddy O'Rourke was the chief source of their fury.

O'Rourke was part of the Meath team that coughed up a ten-point lead to Westmeath to crash to their first ever Championship defeat by their neighbours, putting an exclamation point on the collapse with a last-minute red card. And angry Meath fans took to social media to vent their fury at O'Rourke, who retweeted a few of the choice offerings, several of which were unprintable and most of which were downright nasty. 1-vert Thankfully, O'Rourke's retweets of the abuse sparked some messages of support... https://twitter.com/DavidFleming4/status/615188349326884864 https://twitter.com/boscofoley/status/615183278098808836 UPDATE: O'Rourke also received support from former Westmeath player Dessie Dolan on The Sunday Game, last night. https://twitter.com/TheSundayGame/status/615262855751987200
