You know what they say: if you can't train, build a GAA snowman instead.

The weather is just beginning to play havoc with sportspeople in this part of the world and, do you know what, Gaelic Football and hurling has never looked so beautiful. Patrick Cronin gets a shot away as snow falls 13/1/2016 Cork and Waterford already played out one of the most picturesque battles we've seen in a long time this week and, in Fermanagh, Stephen Ingram captured this stunning aerial shot of the snow-covered Ederney and the St. Joseph's GAA grounds. https://vimeo.com/152055435 You think it's just Ireland that's feeling it? Pah! Go as far as Texas and you'll still find the same whinges of GAA men and women not ready to leave the fire-side and brave the elements for pre-season training. https://twitter.com/CryTay1/status/688548907454865408 Of course, some people just don't give a f**k and make the most of a Rocky IV training montage opportunity while they can. https://twitter.com/bucks777/status/688805504966094848 But if you go up to Scotland, the Strathclyde University ladies have been training a little differently. Sunday Gaelic Football took a bit of a turn somewhere between warming up and making a snowman and giving him gloves and boots. And, really, what snowman is complete without a Mitre bib? Productive nonetheless. lC6Tlxcz _YamiUnY Thanks to Maria Lyttle for sending this our way. If you're training - or building snowmen - in that weather, share your pictures with us on Facebook or Twitter or send us an email at editorial@SportsJOE.ie.
