In the past five years the GAA has thrown up a scarcely believable four All-Ireland final draws, three in hurling and one in football.
That sole football final replay - the first since 2000 - looms on the horizon, with Mayo and Dublin facing off again on Saturday following their compelling 2-9 to 0-15 draw on September 18.

It was a dramatic match that had everything and the demand for tickets has shown no sign of waning, but what exactly is the protocol should it finish in a draw again?
If the teams are level after 70 minutes there will be two 10-minute periods of extra-time.
And what if they cannot be separated after (gets out abacus) 160 minutes of action?
Well then we will have ANOTHER replay.
When? While nothing is set in stone, the smart money would be on seven days hence, October 8, so as to cause as little disruption as possible to the already seriously disrupted club championships in both counties.
