Home of some of the finest landscape in the north west of Donegal.
Home of the famous Teach Mhicí.
Home of Gaoth Dobhair GAA.
It's been an emotional journey for such a closely-knit club that really is the centre of the universe in these parts.
Fresh from making history as the first Donegal outfit in nearly half a century to win the Ulster club senior football championship, tragedy befell the foot of Mount Errigal when a car crash claimed the lives of four young men. Daniel Scott, John Harley, Shaun Harkin and Gweedore club man Mícheál Roarty lost their lives in an accident that shook the whole of Ireland and it was especially heartbreaking for the footballers of Gweedore who had trained with Roarty that Saturday morning.
Whilst they were making history together, they then had to cope with grief together. But they did it all together.
The Gaoth Dobhair way.
