Great stuff.

The Six Nations may be taking a week off and the Premier League gives way to the FA Cup but there are a ton of great football and hurling matches on Saturday and Sunday for GAA heads to enjoy. Moorefield and Corofin kick things off in the All-Ireland club SFC semi-final on Saturday afternoon, with throw-in at 2pm from Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park in Tullamore. There is also a live stream of the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals from 3pm, courtesy of TG4's YouTube account. A bit later, NUIG take on UCD in the eagerly-anticipated Sigerson Cup final. NUI Galway are competing in the showpiece for the first time since 2003, while UCD will be hoping to extinguish the pain of last year's shock final defeat to St Mary's by going one better this time. In hurling, Limerick welcome Pat Gilroy's Dublin to the Gaelic Grounds, which throws-in at 7pm. You can see that on eir Sport 1 while, on eir Sport 2, Tipperary face Wexford in Division 1A, with that match also starting at 7pm. On Sunday, TG4 have their usual extended coverage, with Clare v Cork in the NHL at 2pm. Following that clash in Ennis, there is deferred coverage of Kilkenny's trip to Waterford and Monaghan taking on Kerry in the football, starting at 3.40pm and 5pm respectively. So, there you have it. That should be enough to see you through the weekend.

Tyrone send open letter to GAA over Allianz sponsorship

The GAA, and its president Jarlath Burns, have come under further pressure in regards to their sponsorship deal with Allianz following an open letter from Tyrone GAA. The letter sent, again highlighted the issue of Allianz’s relations to Israel. The German insurance company has been Gaelic football and hurling’s league sponsor since 1993 and have […]

They have a point to be fair! One of the main talking points following yesterday’s Munster SHC final, was the full-time whistle, which came before Cork were able to send one last puck into the Limerick box. Rebel players were clearly not pleased by this, claiming that they did not know it was the last […]

Cork boss not pleased with ‘hypocritical’ ref behaviour from Limerick manager

A bit of needle…. There was a bit of needle between Cork boss Ben O’Connor and Limerick gaffer John Kiely after today’s Munster final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. O’Connor was clearly not pleased with some of the behaviour from Kiely, and perhaps some decisions from the officials. And the Rebels manager did admit that things […]
