Westmeath's reward for losing to Dublin is a face-off with Mayo. The last football qualifier draw has been made and, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake, the fever is real. After the culmination of the provincial championships at the weekend, the remaining qualifier teams were pitted with the losing finalists from the four provinces and this is how the draw looks.
Round 4A (July 23/24) Roscommon v Clare Tipperary v Derry Round 4B (July 30/31) Westmeath v Mayo Donegal v Cork All games to be played at neutral venues.
It also means that Galway, Kerry, Tyrone, and Dublin know their fate a little more now. Dublin and Tyrone will pair off with the winners of 4B in the quarter-finals whilst the Connacht and Munster champions await the victors from 4A. A B If the favourites were to advance, two of your quarter finals would be looking like Dublin and Tyrone against either Donegal or Mayo. Bad time to be in the B side of the draw.
