Son of Kerry legend to start for Dublin Under-21 footballers against Meath

The Dublin Under-21 football team have a name more associated with the golden era of Kerry football playing at half-back tomorrow night, as they face Meath in the Leinster championship. The team has been announced today, and manning the left half-back position will be a man by the name of Darragh Spillane. Nothing unusual in that, apart from his father being a seven-time All-Ireland winner with Kerry, Mick. https://twitter.com/DubGAAOfficial/status/704592045558669312 His pedigree is well-established through his uncles too, with Sunday Game pundit Pat an eight-time medalist and his other uncle Tom also picked up four Celtic Crosses during his time with the Kingdom. Darragh is a Cuala clubman, and has long been tipped for a bright footballing future after impressing for the Dublin minors last season. Spillane isn't the only player from an enviable sporting gene pool featuring on the Dublin panel.
