Several spectators were injured after a fence collapsed during celebrations of St Kiernan's College's Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior Hurling A Championship final win over Kilkenny CBC at UPMC Nowlan Park.
Footage shows players rushing over to fans to celebrate the victory after the match, and dozens of fans falling on top of each other in the Ardán de Grás stand.
A spokesperson for Kilkenny GAA said: “Following the Leinster Senior Hurling Post Primary Schools Final at UPMC Nowlan Park, an incident occurred during post-match celebrations when players approached supporters in Ardán de Grás. A section of pitch-side fencing gave way, resulting in a number of supporters falling.
"Three supporters required medical attention, and a response plan was put in place by the County Board Medical Team to treat the individuals.
“The safety and wellbeing of all those in attendance is taken seriously. The incident has been noted and the appropriate parties have been informed.
"At this time, out of respect to all parties involved no further comment will be made.”
