All-Ireland champs Armagh dominate the team with eight members, followed by five from Galway and two from Galway.
Armagh wing back Barry McCambridge was named The Sunday Game Footballer of the Year having come out on top in his duels with David Clifford, Diarmuid Murtagh and Shane Walsh.
The Sunday Game panel stated a lot of debate was involved in picking the team and Sean Cavanagh said he wasn't happy that nobody from Louth made it. Louth qualified for the All-Ireland quarter finals after a number of big results in the group stages with Craig Lennon, Sam Mulroy and Tommy Durnin all impressing at different stages of the year.
"I think it's harsh not having one from Louth," said Cavanagh.
"I feel Sam Mulroy should be in the team," added the Tyrone man.
"It does feel a little bit light in team spread when there's only three teams represented," he added.
Former Dublin player Paul Flynn says it was hard to find a position to slot them into looking at the competition they were up against.
"Some were pushing for Craig Lennon, some were pushing for Tommy Durnin, some were pushing for Sam Mulroy. It was just hard to slot them into a position when you look at the competition against them."
Even Ciaran Whelan admitted he thinks 'a Louth man will get an All-Star at the end of the year,' with most of the panel agreeing.
