Over 24,000 fans will need a warm drink after being exposed to some atrocious elements in the Connacht football final. The Rossies looked good value for an early lead - thanks in part to Enda Smith's goal - but it was a touch and go throughout. The game was level on five occasions but Roscommon needed a late score to get on terms before the final whistle. The standard of football was, for long stretches, poor.
