The picture in Maurice Fitzgerald's attic must be gathering some amount of dust these days.

Like the title character in Oscar Wilde's novel Dorian Gray, everyone's favourite corner-forward must surely have sold his soul in order to look this good as he closes in on the half century. The legendary Kerry footballer has been a busy man in recent weeks, helping lead St Mary's to Munster intermediate club glory, while also keeping the seven club players nice and limber to help South Kerry win the Kingdom's county senior football crown. As a result of some crazy fixture scheduling Fitzgerald, who is the St Mary's manager, led his side out in a Kerry county league Division 2 game last night against East Kerry outfit Gneeveguilla. The men from Cahirciveen were down a number of players due to college commitments and injury for the midweek trip beyond Killarney, which meant that Fitzgerald togged out as a substitute, 14 years after he last wore the green and gold of his county. https://twitter.com/sportsfile/status/672158039538065408 https://twitter.com/AIB_GAA/status/672164787149774850 https://twitter.com/RorysStories/status/672175383702302721 And his introduction worked as the Munster club champions secured a valuable away win https://twitter.com/MortimerMurphy1/status/672185079423246337 Unfortunately the man himself didn't get on the score sheet https://twitter.com/StMarysGAAclub/status/672163368795570176 But every GAA fan in the country was impressed https://twitter.com/GmailMahony/status/672329274297352192 https://twitter.com/thomasniblock/status/672194174314237952 https://twitter.com/FranBTweets/status/672161605992505344
