PIC: Hilarious, pleading text sent by prodigal son as he returns from Oz for county final

Good intentions are great and all that, but...

Anyone that ever came back home for a stint abroad knows all too well that feeling of being a local celeb for 24 hours. 48 hours if you are lucky. You come back with intentions of catching up with the relatives, taking that trip around the coast, spending time at home with the folks. You end up on the tear for two weeks and return home [wherever that is in the globe] in a worse state than wen you left. You need a holiday after your holiday. Spare a thought, then, for 'Bubbles', a keen footballer that returned from Australia with hopes of helping his parish to the county intermediate championship. He got off the plane, caught a lift home and located his old boots under the stairs. He showed up for his first training session and tore into it. He was back. There was no way they could not lose. Then, he 'got wind of the fleadh hitting Ennis' and wasn't seen for 10 days. On day No. 11, once his head cleared, he got his focus back - the championship. A teammate of Bubbles shared this brilliant text with us: God loves a trier. Did he make the team? You bet your arse he did. They don't call Bubbles 'Prodigal Son' in the parish for nothing.
