Forgetting your boots or your socks or, you know, your shorts is no longer an excuse in this game. You're playing and that's that. A game in Carlow on Wednesday night acted out Joe Brolly's wet dream when the corner forward lined out with a pair of jeans on. Sure it's not about the winning, it's about the taking part and the craic. Clonmore entertained Fenagh in the Division Five football league and, after the Woodside men had already beaten them at the weekend in Division Two, it's fair to say that this game wasn't taken quite as seriously. A picture began doing the rounds of the not-so-frantic action at Clonmore, with the corner forward being tightly catered for - and not just by his jeans. Clonmore won the game 2-10 to 1-10 but that was not the story of the day.
