The Chicago football championship final took place at the weekend, and was full of goals, scores and big hits, all worthy of entertaining any GAA fan. However, it is the commentary that really makes this game so special, and one clip in particular has gone viral due to the unique turn of phrase from the broadcasters. Former Antrim star Adam Loughran had the goal at his mercy for his club Pearse's, after a delightful bit of build up from his teammates, but unfortunately he struck the ball wide of the mark. A chance like that was never going to ignored by these commentators, who have been famed for their use of colloquialism, and 'interesting' metaphors.

The opposition team, Chicago Parnells boasted a star studded line up including Tyrone's Conor Meyler, Michael McKernan and Armagh's Rian O'Neill. Pearse's came in as the underdogs, and despite Loughran's glaring miss they were very clinical in front of goal, running away with the game as winners 4-14 to 10-09. The Antrim man can at least take solace in the fact that his team were the eventual winners, but this viral clip certainly won't help him forget the goal-chance anytime soon.
