Goalkeeper hangs up gloves after 25 year career
The maddest, baddest and most fun goalkeeper the GAA has probably ever seen has decided to call it a day.
Shane Curran announced today on Off The Ball that he has decided to call it quits after a 25 year inter county career that began by claiming a Connacht minor medal way back in 1989 with his native Roscommon

He starred for St Brigids as they won the All Ireland club title in 2013 as well as playing soccer for Athlone Town.
He recently spoke to SportsJOE about his new autobiography
'Cake' which detailed his often colourful career between the posts for club and county
This is how he bowed out for St Brigids against Castlebar Mitchel's in the 2013 Connacht final after a dashing run up the field in the dying minutes.
