Ever wanted to know what cruelty looks like? It's written on black and white on this betting slip.
A superbly audacious - yet calculated - accumulator for the Tipperary hurling championship came up short by one. One team. The champions.
Thurles Sarsfields might've been the toast of Tipp last year but they were the bane of Pat Conway's weekend as their defeat to Kildangan let him down for a 14-team bet.
This punter needed the champs to just go out and take care of business as usual but, with Thurles' place in the last 16 of the senior championship already guaranteed, it probably worked against poor Conway who missed out on €1,500.
Fortunately, he only lost a fiver but, of all the teams to let down his 300/1 shot bet, he probably didn't have Thurles pegged as the likely team.
Some effort though.
Thanks to Pat Conway for sending this our way.
