Mickey Linden has still got it.

In the early 90s, Mickey Linden was an intercounty star. Flash-forward to present day and he's still banging over the points. He was part of the Down teams that lifted the Sam Maguire in 1991 and 1994. In the latter championship, he was named Footballer of the Year. On Saturday afternoon, Linden really rolled back the years. Linden, age 55, kicked a phenomenal individual score for Mayobridge in the Down Premier Reserve Championship. Mayobridge won the Reserve Championship by beating Burren 1-15 to 0-7 at Pairc Esler. Remarkably, his point on Saturday was 27 years to the day since he got on the scoresheet in 1991 All-Ireland final.
