Conroy is 10 years older than many of the lads that claimed that coveted trophy. The Davitts GAA man can still do a job up front and was looking forward to claim All-Ireland glory at senior level. Seven Connacht titles over an 11-season senior career. Still, he would have backed himself to push on with an extremely talented squad. Conroy is on the outside looking in, for the time being. The axings of Mark Ronaldson and Mickey Sweeney confirm Rochford is determined to make his mark on the team.
