Mayo football manager, Kevin McStay, is currently in hospital after he became ill during a training session.
According to the Irish Examiner, McStay suffered a medical issue at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park during a training session as the team prepared for next Saturday's second round All-Ireland Championship clash with Tyrone in Omagh.
The Mayo county board are yet to issue a statement regarding his health.
McStay has led Mayo to two finals this year in both Division 1 and Connacht.
They were beaten in both by Kerry and Galway respectively.
Mayo's opening game of the All-Ireland Championship saw them suffer a shock three-point defeat to Cavan.
Following next Saturday's match against Tyrone, they will face Donegal at a neutral venue on June 14 or 15.
Tyrone joint-manager Feargal Logan suffered a stroke last year, just hours before they were due to face Derry.
Similarly, legendary Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody stepped away from his duties for a period after undergoing heart surgery in 2013.
Eleven years prior to Cody's incident, Tommy Lyons stood down as Dublin manager for their drawn All-Ireland quarter-final against Donegal due to ill health but returned for the replay.
