Back in 1999, Mark Landers captained a Jimmy Barry Murphy-managed team to All-Ireland glory. Now, 15 years on, the two men have hooked up again after tonight's county board meeting in Cork.
Landers was ratified as the new coach of the county's senior hurlers, working under his former boss yet again. Landers replaces Kieran Kingston, who left the role after this season.
Landers had been coaching the Cork minors so the process to replace him in that role begins now.
Cork fans will be hoping that the 1999 team can work that magic again in 2015.
