Mark Coleman turns defender inside-out before scoring ridiculous point

Sometimes there's just nothing better than getting a defender on the backfoot.

They zig when you zag. They zag when you zig. And before you know it you've gone by them with the ball in your possession while they still try and figure out what time of day it is. UCC defender Mark Coleman is one of Cork's brighter hurling prospects and he showed why during the Rebels 13 point win over Waterford on Saturday. Goals from Patrick Horgan, his 16th goal in championship hurling, and Alan Cadogan put an exclamation point on a dominant win from the Rebels as John Meyler's side put back-to-back victories together following last month's triumph over Limerick. https://twitter.com/GAA__JOE/status/1137428183651880960 Patrick Horgan's goal was critical in establishing Cork's early lead and manager Meyler praised the three-time All Star as one of the best forwards in hurling last month.

"He's a good player," Meyler said at the Centra GAA Senior Hurling Championship launch.

"There's certainly no doubt about that and he's currently, along with Joe Canning and TJ Reid, one of the best forwards in hurling. Without a shadow of doubt.

"He's proved that for Cork over the last 10 years and we need to rectify that for him for his contribution to Cork hurling over the last 10 years has been incredible. "The scores that he got on the weekend, the goal that he got he took really well. He drove us on. It was nip and tuck at that stage and a goal either way could have drove either team on but he showed the ability and the skill to take the ball down, to sidestep the back, to stick it away. He really gave us the impetus to drive on in the last 10 or 15 minutes and he's critical."
