Colm O'Rourke has called for revolution in the GAA.

Colm O'Rourke is fed up of what he's seeing in the GAA following Mayo's complete annihilation of Roscommon in a let-down of a quarter-final. Speaking on RTÉ following the one-sided affair, the Meath native argued for the GAA to do away with what he sees as a capitalist model and move towards a socialist model for a more even playing field. He spoke out against the controversial Sky deal, the Super 8 format which is set to introduced next year in the incredible rant which you can watch below.

"My idea of the GAA is that the GAA should rail against this capitalism concept. We should have a form of socialism." "I am worried about this drift through the elitism with the GPA, the Sky deal which has disenfranchised half a million people from seeing matches on Sunday and all these other ways - the Super 8, which is going to mean very little for 24 counties. They're never going to get an opportunity in Croke Park to play here." "So unless the GAA change tack on a lot of fronts, and the All-Ireland senior championship is just one of them, because it's irrelevant now to the vast majority of players and a lot of them are walking away and saying, 'we don't want to play with our county team anymore because there's too much effort for no chance of reward.'"
