Limerick repeat clever tactic in build up to Cian Lynch goal

Limerick fought right to the end with Cork and forced extra-time in Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park.

Midfielder Cian Lynch was immense for the Shannonsiders and  scored the opening goal of the game when he latched onto the end of a beautiful diagonal pass from Seamus Flanagan before bearing down on goal. Lynch buried his shot past goalkeeper Anthony Nash to find the back of the net but the pass from Flanagan mirrored a similar goal scored by Gearóid Hegarty in Limerick's 13-point win over Waterford in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship earlier this summer. https://twitter.com/officialgaa/status/1023587063071993861 During both goals we can see the forwards pick up possession near the sideline before veering back towards the halfway line and finding a teammate running towards goal. In the Waterford win we can see Aaron Gillane pick up possession, turn and find Gearóid Hegarty running towards goal. The half-forward takes advantage of the space vacated in behind and he picks up possession before cutting inside the Waterford defence and firing the ball into the back of the net.
